ANU European Studies Association (ANUESA) is a new society dedicated to exploring pan-European culture, communications and relations. ANUESA aspires to act as “a nucleus” connecting current European Nationality Clubs and fostering a community that embraces intersectional European identities. Students that have interest in European culture or politics are encouraged to join.

After their successful Model European Union event within the International Relations Society in 2025, President Regina B. Ng and Vice President Louis Matteo Vallet have branched out to create a new society to accommodate the overwhelming interest they received in European politics, culture and communications.

They have retained support of the Model European EU sponsors, with ANUESA claiming the support of seven member states of the EU (France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden), and the sponsorship and guidance of the Delegation of the European Union to Australia.

ANUESA has also provided Woroni with a sneak-peak of upcoming events. These include: ‘Speed Dating’ networking event with EU representatives, European Languages event, Europe Day Stall, Eurovision watch party and the highly anticipated European Techno Night. More information about these events can be found on their Instagram.

Regina reiterates the importance of this society to encourage interest in Australia-European Relations, and deepen the understanding of European cultural diversity and its widespread importance around the world.

Students that are interested in joining can find information on ANUESA’s Instagram.

We acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people, who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Woroni, Woroni Radio and Woroni TV are created, edited, published, printed and distributed. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We acknowledge that the name Woroni was taken from the Wadi Wadi Nation without permission, and we are striving to do better for future reconciliation.
